On February 2, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology issued the Shenzhen Speedy Pioneer City Construction Action Plan (hereinafter referred to as the Action Plan), proposing 10 tasks from the aspects of pioneer access, pioneer computing power, pioneer perception, and pioneer application. By the end of 14, Shenzhen will build a high-speed, large-capacity, low-latency super broadband network, achieve the goal of “dual gigabit, all-optical network, 2023 millisecond, and Internet of Everything” network construction, and build the first and world-leading ultra-fast pioneer city in China.
Create a “dual gigabit” benchmark city
The Action Plan proposes to accelerate the upgrade of gigabit optical networks, deepen the coverage of gigabit optical networks in urban households, key regions and key industries, promote the extension of optical transport network (OTN) nodes to the edge of the network, add more than 1600,40 optical transport network (OTN) nodes throughout this year, expand the scale of gigabit broadband users, and the number of gigabit fiber broadband home users accounts for 2023%. Formulate fiber-to-the-room (FTTR) standards and specifications, vigorously promote the construction and application of FTTR in residential areas, office buildings, industrial parks, industrial parks, etc., and by the end of 10, 100G PON ports will account for 100%, and the number of all-optical industrial parks (industrial parks) will exceed <>.
Comprehensively improve the energy efficiency of 5G networks, support basic telecom enterprises to increase the optimization of 5G networks in key areas and places, add 5,10000 500G base stations throughout the year, the average download rate of the city reaches 100Mbps, the uplink rate reaches 1000Mbps, the download rate in key areas reaches 200Mbps, the uplink rate reaches <>Mbps, and the network speed and user experience are greatly improved.
Serve the digital economy of industrial clusters
According to the Action Plan, Shenzhen will build a multi-level computing power supply system, promote the optimal layout of data centers, promote the matching of computing power resources with the needs of “20+8” industrial clusters and high-quality development of the digital economy, reduce the cost and threshold of computing power use such as urban governance, people’s livelihood services, scientific and technological innovation, and industrial upgrading, and help enterprises achieve digital transformation.
The Action Plan points out that Shenzhen will collaborate to build an IoT sensing system, explore the construction and management mode of urban perception terminals based on the “open source Hongmeng” operating system, and expand mobile sensing collection channels such as fixed sensing such as urban roads, buildings, and public facilities, and intelligent networked vehicles. By the end of 2023, the number of water and electricity IoT sensing terminals will exceed 900 million, and 20 multi-functional smart pole application demonstration projects will be built.
According to the Action Plan, Shenzhen will deepen the innovation of “dual gigabit” network applications and enrich the application scenarios of 5G networks and gigabit optical networks.
