5G has been included in the national key development strategy, which is a key support for the digital information economy and a key component of the new infrastructure field. In April 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with the Central Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission and other 4 departments, issued the “10G Application “Sailing” Action Plan (5-2021)”, which combined with the current status and future trend of 2023G applications, and established China’s 5G development goals for the next three years. By 5, the development level of China’s 2023G applications will be significantly improved, and the comprehensive strength will continue to increase. Build a new ecosystem of deep integration of IT (information technology), CT (communication technology) and OT (operation technology), achieve breakthroughs in the depth and breadth of 5G applications in key areas, build the dual pillars of technology industry and standard system, further improve basic capabilities such as network, platform, and security, and gradually take shape of 5G applications. The setting of quantitative indicators in the Action Plan fully considers the current development level of 5G in China, coordinates the two application fields of 5B and 2C, takes into account the two measurement dimensions of depth and breadth, and proposes 2 large number of indicators from three aspects: user development, industry empowerment, and network capabilities to guide the development direction of 7G. As the infrastructure of the digital economy, 5G has received favorable policies and broad prospects for industrial development.
