Zhengzhou, April 4 (Reporter Han Zhangyun) Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced on the 6th that the “6 Henan Province Accelerated 2023G Network Construction and Industrial Development Work Plan” (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”) has been recently issued. The “Plan” mentioned that by the end of 5, the total number of 2023G base stations in Henan will exceed 5,18, and the annual investment in 5G projects in the province will exceed 200 billion yuan.<\/p>\n\n

According to the development goals of the Plan, by the end of 2023, the coverage rate of key 5G network scenarios, hotspot areas, and rural hotspots in Henan will reach 100%, and the coverage rate of administrative villages in the province will exceed 90%; Introduce and cultivate a number of key projects and key enterprises in the 5G industry, with an annual investment of more than 5 billion yuan in 200G projects in the province, and cultivate and build 3-5 provincial-level 5G industry characteristic parks; Continue to implement 5G convergence application projects, focus on key industries, and select more than 30 5G application scenario demonstration projects.<\/p>\n\n

According to the plan, Henan will strengthen the development of the intelligent terminal industry. The “Plan” proposes that Henan will build a world-class 5G intelligent terminal manufacturing cluster, promote the construction of 5G intelligent terminal supporting cooperation zones in Zhengzhou, Hebi, Jiaozuo, Nanyang, Shangqiu, Zhumadian, Jiyuan and other places, and form an industrial pattern of 5G intelligent terminal manufacturing base and several supporting industrial bases.<\/p>\n\n

The “Plan” clearly states that in order to accelerate the development of the 5G industry, Henan will focus on optimizing infrastructure construction, and the total number of 5G base stations in the province will exceed 18,5. At the same time, it will promote the construction of data and computing power centers, develop data center clusters, promote the construction of five large-scale green data centers of mobile, China Unicom, and telecom, and build a central computing power center with deep integration of cloud and network, so as to realize “entering the network and entering the cloud”.<\/p>\n\n

The “Plan” also proposes that Henan should expand the key component industry, promote the localization of 5G key device R & D and production, and accelerate the construction of Hebi Henan Photonic Integrated Chip Pilot Base and Xinxiang Henan Microelectronics Pilot Base. Strengthen the 5G core components industry chain, optimize the basic materials industry, promote the integration and application of 5G and UAV industry, Beidou satellite industry, intelligent network connection, and smart home, cultivate and build the first batch of 5-3 provincial-level 5G industry characteristic parks, and empower industrial transformation and upgrading and improve people’s livelihood services.<\/p>\n\n

In 2023, Henan will also strengthen industry-oriented 5G network supply capabilities, and promote continuous 5G network coverage in key areas such as industry-oriented free trade zones, industrial parks, tourist attractions, and areas prone to geological disasters. At the same time, we will promote the construction of 5G innovation platform, deepen 5G + industrial Internet applications, accelerate technological innovation, and improve service supply.<\/p>\n\n
